About Philadelphia Cricket Club

The newest sport can now be found at the oldest club. Founded in 1854, the Philadelphia Cricket Club is the oldest country club in America—and in May 2023, it became the first country club in the Philadelphia area to build its own padel courts.

The Courts

Philadelphia Cricket Club features 4 glass-enclosed padel courts that preserve the scenic views along Willow Grove Avenue. On any given day, you'll see players dashing around in doubles matches, sending balls ricocheting off walls in the dynamic hybrid of tennis and squash that defines padel.

Explosive Growth

The courts' popularity exceeded all expectations. Within just two months of opening, over 1,000 different members had tried the sport, with more than 150 playing regularly. This rapid adoption helped earn Philadelphia Cricket Club recognition as the #1 Racquets Facility in America by Club + Resort Business Magazine.

World-Class Racquet Facilities

Padel joins an impressive lineup of racquet sports at PCC, including tennis, squash, platform tennis, and pickleball. The club has campuses in both Chestnut Hill and Flourtown, north-northwest of downtown Philadelphia.

Private Membership

Philadelphia Cricket Club is a members-only facility. The club's commitment to excellence in racquet sports continues a tradition spanning over 170 years.
